Women's Spirituality - Gather the Women

February 11, 2008
Mon 9:30am - 3:30pm
Fee: $36, includes lunch
Facilitator: Rev. Billie Blair

Women's' spirituality is different than men's
spirituality.  We see life and relationships,
family and nature from a different perspective.
Why wouldn't we understand God, names for the divine, faith, spirituality, church, religion all from a feminine perspective?

Where Women Find Their Way
When women come together something wonderful happens: an igniting of passion and possibility, hope rises, determination quickens and our bond as women deepens. In this experience we weave with the golden thread of the divine feminine.

Using the video Mother Wove the Morning as the basis for discussion, we will consider women's spirituality from pre-historical times to today.  Stopping along the way for conversation, we'll hear the stories of 16 women throughout history. Some of the stories are humorous, some are difficult to hear.  Based on her research of women's faith over time, Carol Lynn Pearson performs her one-woman play.

There will be time to walk the labyrinth or walk to the creek, taking time to ponder what you've seena nd heard ,as well as time to talk with other women about the issues of faith that come up for us.
