Treasures in Transition:
Finding Meaning in the Choppy Seas of Change
May 2-3, 2008
Fri 7pm - Sat 4pm
Fee: $70
Transitions come in all shapes and sizes.
Transition may be chosen and exciting, or it may be forced upon you. An unexpected transition may leave you feeling bereft or angry. A longed for change could provoke unexpected emotions. Even a subtle transition may throw you off course for awhile. But with a clear purpose and a strong sense of your core values, you’ll never completely lose track of your destination.
Your current transition may be related to career, or it may be in the personal realm, having to do with a relationship change or the passage from one life stage to another.
Whatever the catalyst, and whatever your response, times of transition can be great sources of personal growth and development.
This workshop is designed to help participants stay attentive during
the scary, sometimes bleak period between the shock, grief, or even thrill of an ending – of a job, a relationship, a life-stage marked
by a divorce, a graduation, or a cross-country move – and the
energy of the new beginning.
In this workshop you’ll examine:
1. Your Purpose: What is the purpose that grows out of your values, your talents,
your passions? Your anchor in the
choppy seas of transition?
2.The Transition: What is its characteristic shape?
3. Surviving the Neutral Zone: How can you stay connected to
your sense of purpose in order to make the most of that
uncertain, in-between space that is a characteristic of
transitions?
Throughout the retreat, we’ll take advantage of the gifts of the Flint Hills in springtime, with plenty of time for guided and unguided reflection amidst the beauty of the Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center.
This retreat is sponsored by Coach Julia, Inc.
