Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center is delighted to introduce its connection to Gather the Women - an organic, self-organizing grassroots initiative that recognizes the ancient tradition of women gathering in circles where one woman reaching out to connect with another woman can experience the power of shared intention.
The belief behind Gather the Women is very much in agreement with the intention and hopes of Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center - bringing women together to facilitate our deepening spiritual and emotional growth as women by connecting with other women.
The hope is for women to come together at Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center to talk about women's perspectives on faith, the church, God, life, family, and other issues women care deeply about. There will be book discussions, videos to view and some creative endeavors, as well.
Below is the 2008 schedule for Gather the Women at Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center. Knowing that each and every woman interested in this event, more than likely, cannot come each and every month, different days in each month were chosen to provide lots of opportunities for a variety of women to gather with other women. Come on a Monday, or maybe Tuesday is a better day for you. Find one that best fits your schedule. One overnight retreat is also on the schedule.

Gather the Women is urgency linking arms with endurance, solemnity joining hands with laughter, joy reaching out to sorrow, and vision embracing hands-on, street-wise practical know-how. Nothing in this world is more timely and imperative than to Gather the Women! While it is largely men who have created the wonders of our technological world, that world is now found to be unsustainable because it was not modeled on living systems. It is women who most deeply understand and create healthy living systems and thus intuitively and through their experience know the path not just to our survival but to our thrival as a global family. May women gather in ever greater numbers to join their loving power effectively!
