Two definitions of courting are:
  • “to try to gain the love and affection of, especially to seek to marry”
  • “to seek someone’s love, to woo.”

A third definition, according to Jennifer Louden in The Women’s Retreat Book is:
  • “to prove your commitment to someone and to gain someone’s trust.”

Today is a day to work at your love for yourself.  Courting is something that can be done on a daily basis and, hopefully, this day will lead to that. Today courting yourself can be the focus of the day because you’re away from your habitual ways of thinking about yourself.  You’re not doing your daily activities.

Discover what do you need to prove and/or improve your love for yourself?  Discover ways to affirm your love for yourself.  Teach yourself that you will be there in sickness and in health, in good times and bad. You deserve it and you're worth it
