Where Women Find Their Way
Who are you?  What is authentic about you?
Does the way the world see you match the
woman you really are?  Do you see yourself
as you truly are or does the world determine
how you see yourself?

How can you gain or regain a "luminous, virtually
religious sense of [your] inner life radiating into
and nourishing the outer, wider world?" asks
Michael Ventura in Shadow Dancing in the US.A.
as found in Jennifer Louden's The Woman's Retreat Book.

Can you imagine yourself so full of energy that you "radiate" into
the outer world?  Take this time away to consider the muted parts of yourself, to sift through the images of your that are authentic and those which the world has put upon you.  Using
a full- size, life-size outline of your body, you'll
weave together symbols of who you are, how you
see yourself, how others see you and what you
want to strengthen and encourage in this collage
of womanhood.

Dress comfortably.
Bring a journal.
Bring a camera or sketch book, if you like.
Bring an open mind, seeking honesty and fun.
